I'm sorry for coming back way before my hiatus is over, but I just gotta post something to alleviate my unhealthy anger towards my class' handling of the money matters. It is utterly disgraceful and unacceptable because they way they handle it really makes me think that they are embezzling the class fund. Don't worry, I still think that way. What not, my trust towards these few people have dwindled greatly ever since this 'problem' starts.

Have they got no brains?

Wanna know what the problem is...?
Well, here it is!

The previous social rep have been spending so much money on individual's birthday, that I think it's just really unreasonable. Fuck it. Those idiots spent $40 for a cake that is super small and they expect us to share equally among 23 students... But that is beside the point. The main thing is that they still want us to pay for it when we have already been contributing to the class fund for several weeks (Damn you! $2 per week is a lot when accumulated!)
When one of my friends asked why they never use the class fund instead, the answer to that was ridiculously a no-brainer. They are saving up those money for class chalet. Really, morons? You think I pay class fund will mean I will go to the class chalet?! Even if I go, I'll only go during the day. But it seems like I still have to pay the price for an overnight. Wanna know why I don't wanna attend this supposed class chalet...? Because it is obvious who will conquer the whole class event...and obviously, there will be booze being passed around. You think I wanna be surrounded by  half-drunk  drunkard fools? Fuck no, please.

I can't really voice out my reasonings to them because they will obviously look at me like a piece of trash afterwards...But I got a mirror for them to look who's the real trash.

Don't worry. I wasn't a fool to listen to their constant asking for money. I didn't pay up for any birthdays anyways and I don't give shit if they don't come up with anything during my birthday. I prefer to celebrate it with close friends like Rachel, Wawa, Meredith, Tse Fang, Qid, Carissa, Si Min, Zinnia. And also celebrate it with my loved ones - my awesome but weird clique and my family.

My birthday is a close affair. I don't need it to be celebrated with people I disapproved of.

Enough said. This is just my own personal opinion.
Whoever got a problem with me after reading this, you can kindly scram from this blog.

Lo and behold! I'm going on a hiatus for a week or so, depends on the situation. Term Test is really nearing... But here I am, still lodged in front of the laptop. Tell me about it, I think I'm so fucking screwed up.

Three subjects to focus.

Engine Math
Electrical Services for Facilities
Real Estate Business

Pray that I work hard now and pass these 3 papers with flying colors, so that I can clench that 20% for my G.P.A at the end of the semester.

Please, please discipline yourself. Thanks. Bye.

Week 4 to 7

How long has it been since I last update - 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Whatever it is, it sure feels so freaking long. I just missed having those free time to type my thoughts here, an alternative platform to spill out whatever thing I've been locking up inside of me. Yes, it's just difficult for me to speak up and talk freely. Okay, let's just say I'm very lazy to talk long-winded stuff. So I'll just type out and whoever wants to read, it's my pleasure. Whoever doesn't want to read, kindly scram :)

The first month in school totally past by like nobody's business. Damn fast, I tell ya! But it's darn stressing too, with the loads and loads of assignments, projects and quizzes. I thought I almost couldn't cope well but thank God I could, with the help of friends and never-ending encouragement from family and friends.

I passed my first Electrical Services for Facilities (ESFAC) lab at my first try since all that we were required to do was complete the 13-A plug. Chicken feet.
And then, there's the Math quiz result. Dammit, I only barely passed it with a shameful 11/20. This just goes to show my undying hatred for that subject. I was convincing myself that I could fall in love with ENG Math, but it's just out of my league. Heh!

Recently, we had to go all-out and complete a month-long Real Estate Business (REBUS) assignment whereby we have to collect 30 real estate articles, write a reflection and find the definition to all the real estate jargons and terms. Super headache task and it's no wonder that because of it, I've been sleeping way past 1am to finish it. At least it's all over now since the due date was 1pm today and I had stayed awake till 4am yesterday, or rather today, to finish up with the printing and pasting. My first time burning the midnight oil till 4am ever since school started though. Tiring? Hell yes. Sleepy now? Not really. My 3 hours of sleep didn't feel like a sleep anyways 'cause it felt more like I was awake throughout the whole night.
Okay, okay, I get it that it's over. And I celebrated the end of this assignment by eating at Pastamania and Frolick with my Poly clique :) Had a good, long laugh.

Week 4: Spamming assignments and meeting deadlines.

Week 5: Cramming last minute study, quizzes, huge REBUS deadline.

Week 6: Attached myself to the notes. Study week before Term Test!

Week 7: First 3 days with 3 Term Test papers only. Luckily~

Tsk. Whoever says Polytechnic is slack, should totally deserve to lick the floor I walk on. Idiots.

The hype of ESC and TPSU election in school is finally over. Results are out, and I hope they take off every damned banners that are littering the walls of the school. Such sore eyes.

I guess this is the end of my first part of updating for tonight.

Week 1 in Temasek Polytechnic

It has been, what, about one week since I last updated. Oppsie! Sorry. I've been so busy trying to adapt to the new environment and tertiary education which seems like it's finally taking a toll on my health. Sick for 5 days straight already - sore throat to cough, then blocked nose, fever and headache. Am still sick and doesn't seem like it's going away anytime sooner. Oh, bummer.

I realized that the subjects I take under this course (Integrated Facility Management) is somehow difficult. It's a mixture of both Engineering and Business. I should have known earlier... Sigh. Electrical Services for Facilities is totally learning Physics all over again and Engineering Math, well, it's a whole new level of Math that I should have taken during my Sec school days. Engineering Math is like Add Math, of which I'm seriously and dangerously lagging behind. At least I have two good friends who could help me along the way.

I swear all lectures are boring and waste of time. I prefer tutorials since I can catch up more easily and interact with the teachers with ease, without having another 3 to 4 other classes casting their eyes upon you. Awkward.

Real Estate Business (REBUS) and Engineering Math (ENG Math) lectures are mindfucked boring. But it was compensated with fun tutorials. Same goes for the Electrical Services for Facilities (ESFAC).

I wouldn't say the same for CADS. Both it's lectures and tutorials are mindfucked monotonous and shagged because the same teacher/lecturer teaches both. Mofo. She's an outdated old hag.

WRTORAL and EFFCOM are the best. They're tutorials. And English-based subjects. Totally chicken feet.

Let's talk about my class people a little bit. Hmmm... So far, I'm getting on well with most of them, especially Wawa, Qid and Meredith. I'm glad I met them. They're my laughing, lunch, class buddies.
But... I can't stand some girls. I'm not going to hide it anymore. There's this bimbo-ish clique in my class all thanks to this girl who seems to influence the other 2 girls. Oh my.
I don't care them actually, just that they're always posing problems whenever we're supposed to pay up for lecture notes and tutorial books. These girls really got onto my nerves until it got me thinking, why the fuck was I helping to collect money for the class... Bitches.
Well, it was because I wanted to help Qid. She's the Class Chairman... But she's the one collecting money. See how useless our class Treasurer is? The supposed Treasurer is just another girl I dislike in class, whom I hope I will never be associated with in the future.
Go drown yourself, you materialistic mofo.
I don't even want to trust you if you collect the money for class fund.

Recently, I accomplished something on my own when I'm supposed to do it with my project mates. Idiotic, I know. I was too absorbed doing presentation slides for REBUS until I realized I had actually finished it all by myself. Waiting to do with my project mates seems to be a problem since we all live quite a distance away from each other. So, I'm done with one presentation.

Ciao.

Because School's Like That

I am so not looking forward to the start of the new school semester tomorrow. It's a little bit frightful as to what to expect in this whole new level of education, with all that weird subjects that I've never heard before in school. ENG Maths, Real Estate Business, yadaa yaraa! What the shit.

At first, when W1103 CP gave us the timetable, I was a happy kid since I thought my Wed-Fri ends at 1pm... BUT, NO! I just had the itch to check and confirm online and guess what I saw, on Wed, I actually end at 5pm. Sweet. That extra lessons after 1pm and the 1 hour of break is... SURPRISE SURPRISE!! Three hours of ENG Maths 1 (LSP) tutorials. Happens that LSP stands for Learning Support Programme. Tsk. Yeah, I so need the shit for extra tutorials for ENG Maths 1. I can't imagine embracing anymore Maths stuff in a day. 3 hours is not enough, it's every week. Dang! I should have studied harder for Maths during the O's and then perhaps, got the chance to skip the LSP. Forever the slacker in Maths class.
My happiness was short-lived. So much for hoping that I could hang out with my classmates during one of those days after school.
Anyways, I should have followed my motto from the start - to stop hoping for anything.
*Fails*

HALT! I promised myself to study hard in Polytechnic. Maths shall not be the reason I flung my academic points. I will do my best to embrace, love and understand Maths like as though it's my life. I will also promise not to let anything distract me during lessons.

My regret: Not studying hard enough before Polytechnic.

Yosh! I will survive the next 3 years like a full-time nerd and part-time party-goer.
And I shall see to it, that if I can manage the first term, I'll try to get a flexible part-time job on the second term so that I can support myself and not always rely on my mum for weekly allowance. We shall see.
But there's another thing, I don't even know if I should take up any CCA or not. It'll take up a lot of my energy and needs some of my attention besides my studies.
6 months of shaking legs at home, I've forgotten how to divide my time efficiently.

A lot of my wonderful friends are already sending me words of encouragement. Thanks especially to Valerie, Jie Min, Desiree, Atiqah Goldfish and some of my course-mates. And also to my clique for always being there for me.

I know I'm not alone.

ENG Apr Orientation (AY2011/12)

Week 0 Orientation last three days was AWESOME!! Because I spent it with W1103, Sandy and Shaun.

Day ONE: Was kinda tiring with all the running around campus, doing stupid games and cheer which I didn't use much of my voice at all. I was still the shy kid as ever. W1103 awesome people are fine to me, just that I feel a bit outcasted.

Day TWO: The boring day. There was the Course Manager talk in the lecture theatre. The Director's Speech in the TCC was worst... Somehow turning into a sleep fest in the beginning. Fun part of the day was always with W1103 during lunch and all.

Day THREE: Olympiad and Regatta. SCREW BUSINESS SCHOOL FOR WINNING... Tiring day overall, screamed my lungs out at the stadium during Olympiad and ran to Bedok Reservoir for more cheering during Regatta.

I MISS W1103 FUN MOMENTS WITH SHAUN AND SANDY.

Awesome IFM People and My W1103

Have I ever mentioned that the freshies (including myself) of Integrated Facility Management in Temasek Polytechnic are just so freaking awesome? Like seriously. We've never met before but we managed to bond over Facebook in just a short time. It's just so awesome to get to know these many people before school semester even starts. All the more that lessen the tension of possible awkward silence during the meet-up before Week 0 ENG School Orientation.

Here's their classes and Facebook names:-

Anyways, some people already liked to pick on me. Sadly. But all meant well and no hard feelings. I thought I could get away from getting picked on but me being me, that's not going to happen. No disturbing me seems to equal to no fun. Geez. I love you guys! A lot!

Some of those with Twitters are already deciding the first place to hang out at. Somewhere classic and if you think about it, it's kind of cute too. BUBBLE TEA SHOP.
While others at Facebook are deciding the first possibilities of a bonding session over some sport games.

Their enthusiasm is really contagious.

Last few months, I said to myself that I wanted to try on the anti-social, nerd image. Seems like that's never going to happen with these awesome people around me.

They even had me laughing in front of the laptop screen like some fool.

I love my IFM Course-mates!

Cheers, y'all! We're gonna wreck havoc during Orientation and let the rest of ENG school see who's the most awesome, most bonded, most crazy course there is.
